What type of sludge is the screw filter press suitable for?

 

Screw filter press is more suitable for processing organic sludge. Organic sludge is a kind of soft sludge, which has a certain flexibility during extrusion. Such sludge will be slowly extruded during the operation of the equipment, and the screw of the screw filter press is rotating. During the process, the sludge space will gradually become smaller, the extrusion force will become larger and larger, and the sludge will become more and more dry.

Conditions for sludge treatment with screw filter press

1. Flocculation: Before planning to purchase equipment, you need to do a flocculation experiment to ensure that the flocculation experiment is in the shape of alum.

2. Sludge properties: It is necessary to detect the organic and inorganic components of the sludge. It is not recommended to use screw filter press for treatment of organic sludge with a sludge moisture content below 80%.

3. Sludge concentration: the concentration that can be effectively treated by screw filter press is between 99.5% and 95%. If the concentration exceeds this normal range, the ideal treatment effect may not be achieved.
