Nature of food factory sludge:

Food wastewater has good biodegradability and large sludge production, but this kind of sludge is generally easy to dehydrate. The current dehydration methods mainly include centrifugal, plate and frame, and screw. After dehydration, the water content of sludge is about 80%, and some can reach about 60%. It is recommended to use screw filter press, which has a high degree of automation and low noise and energy consumption.

1. High organic content

A very obvious feature of the sludge produced by the food factory is that the content of organic matter is very high, such as the sludge from beverage factories, fruit canning factories, and other food production and processing plants. Pectin, food residues, etc. also increase the difficulty of sludge dewatering. The organic sludge from the food factory is too difficult to deal with, which has become a big problem for enterprises.

2. High water content of sludge

The water content of the sludge in the food factory is generally about 98%, so the adjustment and modification of the sludge become more important.

What is the role of screw filter press in food wastewater treatment?

1. The main purpose of screw filter press is to make the organic sewage and food factory wastewater meet the water quality requirements of circulating water after treatment, so that the wastewater can be recycled for post-treatment.

2. Low concentration wastewater from food factory is modified by sludge after adding flocculant, which can reduce the difficulty of sludge dewatering.

3. The sludge enters the screw filter press and is mechanically squeezed and dehydrated under the screw pressure to form a compact, low moisture content, and non sticky sludge cake, so that the food factory sludge with a moisture content of about 95% can be turned into a sludge cake with a moisture content of less than 80%, which can be reduced and recycled.
